To prepare your skin for the longest-lasting, healthiest-looking tan:

Before appointment:

• Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate! Use an exfoliating scrub, loofah or sponge.

• Shave or wax at least 8 hours before appointment.

• Hold off from using lotions, oils, moisturizers, foundations, which will prevent our tanning solution from achieving lasting coverage.

• Better yet, shower right before your Glow appointment!

After appointment:

• Wear loose-fitting, dark clothes or a robe.

• Leave solution on skin for at least 8 hours before bathing.

Three simple practices:

• Apply moisturizers morning and evening after your post-tan shower. (Avoid moisturizers with alpha-hydroxy acids (AHA), which promote exfoliation.)

• Avoid long hot showers and baths and excessive scrubbing of the skin. To dry, pat your skin lightly with a towel.

• Minimize the time you spend in chlorinated swimming pools and Jacuzzis. Swimming in lakes, though, is A-O.K!

Our first visit includes a custom color consultation, plus service. It will last approximately 45 minutes. Subsequent services will last about 20 minutes.

Nope. The solution Glow employs is water soluble and will not stain.

On average, 7 to 10 days. Factors such as skin type, activities and maintenance can cause your results to vary. Ask your Glow specialist for information about a healthy skin regimen and additional products to extend your glow.

With our training in color contouring and airbrush techniques, Glow specialists can subtly shift the tanning palette to respond to your body's contours, minimizing "trouble" areas while highlighting your natural assets. As we say at Glow, if you can't tone it, tan it!

Yes. The main ingredient is a simple, non-toxic sugar called dihydroxyacetone (DHA). It is often derived from plant sources such as sugar beets and sugar cane. DHA is FDA approved.
